Current success in Kitsap and Jefferson counties, from custom view homes to remodels and insurance restoration is due in part to a lifetime of experience nationwide.
1974 to 1978Born and raised in the Boise, Idaho area; Olympic Ridge Inc. owner, Joe Klinker, began working construction by traveling the United States and following the building industry. From Idaho to Arizona, Florida back to Washington, and many areas between, his knowledge of the trade developed through the course of practical application. The experiences in various types of regional construction practices proved to be of lifelong value. A natural to the craft, the culmination of these experiences came while working under a Master Carpenter on San Juan Island where Joe went on to build his first home as a general contractor.
1978 to 1980
Turning to the commercial side of construction, Joe went to work for Pacific Coast Construction in Seattle and oversaw the structural renovation of clubhouse and grounds for Seattle Tennis and Racquet Club in Madison Park. This also included shoreline improvement, pile driving, and dock work.

1980 to 1982
The thrill of another region and another aspect of construction led to the Marriott Corporation in Maui, Hawaii. Hired as a basic carpenter Joe was quickly promoted to Interior Construction Supervisor where he directed layout, scheduling, and production for the Maui Marriott Hotel.

1982 to 1990
Returning from Hawaii Joe met his wife of over 25 years and decided to settle in the Pacific Northwest. He started Klinker Construction as a sole proprietorship by returning to the tight community of Madison Park with small remodel projects. Through the course of eight years in Seattle he supervised single and multi-family dwellings, light commercial tenant improvements, remodels, renovation, and repair projects of all sizes and scope, including medical and food service facilities.
From 1990 to the Present
Moving to the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas and becoming Olympic Ridge was where Joe really developed his expertise and carved a niche for himself in the building trade. It began with high end, large loss insurance renovation. Now as president and project manager of Olympic Ridge, Inc. he personally oversees custom construction projects from conception to land development through completion. His focus is on new homes, historic and “like style” renovations with emphasis on the developmental side of properties, including challenging land and lot projects. Olympic Ridge, Inc. has an established reputation of quality, reliability, and well designed homes with many special features. Additionally his thorough knowledge and experience in insurance renovation continues to serve those who have suffered accidental loss. Meticulous to a fault, Joe’s success truly lies in surpassing his clients’ expectations.
Service
Includes President of the Nesika Bay Home Owners Association and various other board positions over six years time. Also served as school board member for Christ the King Academy of Poulsbo for three years. Was privileged to Manage and Coach various Little League teams in Jefferson and Kitsap counties over fifteen years. Member of Kitsap and Jefferson County Homebuilders Associations.
