Joe Klinker, owner of Olympic Ridge, Inc. takes a personal approach to homebuilding. By interfacing as owner, superintendent and project manager, he is able to control every aspect of the building process. This level of control helps reduce mistakes and allows Olympic Ridge to capitalize on opportunities because the process doesn’t require a chain of command. He refuses to let Olympic Ridge become so large that he can’t personally monitor all phases of construction.  Providing quality and value in an enjoyable process is what brings people back to Olympic Ridge.

Regional Considerations
Because the Pacific Northwest offers extreme variety in terrain especially where view and waterfront property is concerned, we frequently must manipulate the construction site before a home can commence. Since regulations are stringent on waterfront property, when Olympic Ridge builds on an unstable waterfront lot we take great care to maximize the property while staying within the bounds of local municipalities. On occasion it has been necessary to build a home on solid rock. The home design is very integral to the lay of the property in these cases. Olympic Ridge specializes in designing and building homes that maximize the property sites, views and regional styles while catering to the lifestyle requirements of the owners.

Building Green
Emphases on environmental concerns and building green have been forefront in recent years. At Olympic Ridge we have always taken steps to respect the environment and conserve resources. We constantly strive to locate and design homes that take advantage of natural lighting. By incorporating different heating sources such as hydronic, geo thermal or conventional forced air we endeavor to employ systems that are both cost effective and efficient. Products such as on demand water heaters, circulating pumps and low flow plumbing fixtures are the norm. Because most of our homes are conventionally framed we use renewable timber, utilize specialty recycled products in construction as well as recycling our spent materials. During the course of construction we take care to supply clean out bins for concrete, paint and stucco. Trash containers are continuously monitored to insure job sites are clean and safe. We receive many comments on the cleanliness of our homes and sites. Overall Olympic Ridge is proud of its eco-friendly history and approach to planning and creating our clients dream home.
